How great would it be if your news-aggregator could also pull in the latest changes from your favorite wikis? The idea is to develop the atom api in such a way that it can be used for wikis as well. The main source for this story is the Atom Wiki. An important sidelight can be found in a comment posted on the net and in the Atom mailing list by Ken MacLeod: ”Is Atom becoming too tightly bound?” -- it is possible that atom will end up so specialized for blogs that it can't handle wikis. This story needs watching since it relates to the portal pages that the voh metaweb will be using.

Hot Stuff. Of course we'd want to be able to do much of the same things with a WIKI as with a blog. Aggregating it, syndicating it, rating, categorizing, etc.

Or do we? With a blog each posting could fairly well be considered as an independent item. But in wiki it is likely to be much more within a certain context. E.g. we might make a wiki to work on a certain project and one wiki page might just be a certain remark or definition or comment, which doesn't make much sense without its context.

me interesa muchisimo todo esto. los wikis fueron el mejor descubrimiento que hice en internet. me fscina la producción colectiva del conocimiento, pero... no puedo con las barreras idiomáticas ¿habrá alguna forma que estas discusiones se hagan tembién en español? realmente quiero participar y aportar

Wouldn't a wiki be even better than an individual blog entry? Most wiki entries already incorporate a plurality of converging opinions on a given subject or point. That might give a wiki added points over individual articles.
